In a recent post on X, talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook mentioned that Chelsea are eager to recruit Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho this summer. It has been revealed that the Blues are pushing hard to acquire the services of the Argentine wide player this off-season.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a decent run of form at the Mancunian club after he put in a handful of impressive performances for them in the final third. Garnacho scored 11 times and earned ten assists in 58 matches for the Red Devils last season in all competitions.
The Argentine talent was a real menace in the final third as he averaged 3.44 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He kept 34.5% of his attempts on target. Garnacho was even careful when distributing possession in the opponent’s half, based on his pass success rate of 78.9% in top-flight football (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at Old Trafford will run out in the summer of 2028. Thus, it won’t be easy for the Blues to sign the Argentine talent on the cheap in this transfer window.

Garnacho has got the pace to cause a lot of trouble for his marker out in the wide areas. He has got the vision to engineer some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and can strike the ball with venom from long range.
The Argentina international is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also function as a right-winger or as an attacking midfielder down the middle if required.
We can expect Garnacho to bring more pace and goals to Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca’s attack. He is more than capable of earning a regular first-team football at the West London club next season.
At 21, Garnacho has the potential to be a future star in English football. Therefore, the Blues would be wise to get a deal done for him as he could prove to be a success story at Stamford Bridge in the long run. With all things considered, Maresca would be wise to go all out to get Garnacho on board soon.
