Chelsea full-back Sarwie signs first professional deal | OneFootball

Chelsea full-back Chloe Sarwie has signed her first professional contract with the club until summer 2028.

The Blues announced the news via a post on their official club website earlier today.

The 17-year-old has come through the South West Londoners’ youth ranks and she has already gone on to feature for the senior team. Sarwie has made four appearances for Chelsea in all competitions to date.

On the international stage, Sarwie has enjoyed a rapid rise through the England youth system and she is already in and around the Under-23 age group.

After signing her first professional terms with Chelsea, Sarwie said “I’m just really proud and grateful. It feels a bit surreal because I’ve been working towards this goal for so long. To sign my first professional contract means everything to me.

“Ever since I joined the academy, this was always my goal. When you’re that young, you never really know how things will turn out, so to finally be in this moment just means everything to me.”

Sarwie will now continue her development under the watchful eye of Chelsea boss Sonia Bompastor and her coaching staff. The young defender was a regular in Chelsea’s matchday squad in the last block of matches prior to the international break.
