Chelsea interested in Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso as Bianconeri likely to part ways | OneFootball

Serie A side Juventus have seen versatile defender Andrea Cambiaso get linked with a host of clubs across the last 12 months or so. In the January of 2025, Manchester City had come calling and it is Chelsea who are in the race for him now.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Juve can indeed part ways with the Italian in the summer. They failed to qualify for the Champions League and Cambiaso is seen as a sellable entity to make up for the finances they lost out on.

Cambiaso hasn’t managed to replicate his performances from the 2024/25 campaign but he remains highly sought-after. Chelsea are now interested, with the Old Lady keen on a sale for a fee between €40 million and €50 million.

It is further mentioned that Marc Cucurella could somehow be part of the deal too. He can part ways with the Blues this summer, with Manchester City also interested. But if Cambiaso does keep attracting interest from the Blues, the Spaniard can also become a target for the Old Lady.

Clever move

Incoming Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has always had a liking for technically blessed players. Cambiaso does have a defensive error in him but he is very reliable from a technical perspective, which is why Pep Guardiola was keen on him. 

The Azzurri star can also play multiple positions, which is another bonus. He is at the right age and could yet grow, if he plays in the right setup, as seen from some of his performances under Luciano Spalletti.
