Chelsea make 'initial contact' with Andoni Iraola

Chelsea have made an 'initial contact' with Andoni Iraola's representatives as the Blues look to find a new manager.

The London club sacked Liam Rosenior last week with the coach just four months into his six-year deal.

Now the Blues are looking for someone who is more established and Iraola, who will leave Bournemouth this summer after an impressive stint, is on the club's radar.

According to journalist Bobby Vincent of football.london, the Blues are sounding out Iraola although he is said to be one of a number of candidates for the Stamford Bridge role.

Iraola first took over at Bournemouth in the summer of 2023 and has overseen 123 games so far in all competitions with a record of 45 wins, 38 draws, and 40 defeats.
