Chelsea have no plans to sack Liam Rosenior despite a string of poor results, according to reports from talkSPORT.

The 41-year-old, who arrived at Stamford Bridge in January from sister-club Strasbourg, currently retains the full backing of the BlueCo hierarchy.

Despite growing frustration from the fan base, the club’s leadership is reportedly committed to giving Rosenior at least one full season in charge before conducting any formal performance review.

Chelsea’s poor form under Liam Rosenior continues

The “manager bounce” that greeted Rosenior’s arrival has firmly dissipated, replaced by a worrying slump in form.

Chelsea have now lost four consecutive matches in all competitions, including a humbling 8-2 aggregate exit from the Champions League at the hands of PSG.

Domestic form has been equally concerning. Recent Premier League defeats to Newcastle United and a 3-0 drubbing by Everton have seen the Blues slide to sixth in the table.

Perhaps most alarming for supporters is the lack of offensive threat; Chelsea have failed to score in three consecutive games for the first time since 2023.

Is Rosenior the right man for the Chelsea job?

The debate over Rosenior’s suitability is intensifying. While he was hailed as a tactical visionary during his time at Hull City and Strasbourg, his transition to Chelsea has been rocky to the least.

Critics have questioned his touchline methods, specifically his habit of passing detailed tactical notes to players mid-match and pre-game huddles.

What is worrying is that as per reports, Chelsea players are reportedly fed up and have started conversations regarding leaving Stamford Bridge.

However, the Chelsea board appears to be playing the long game.

Having signed a contract until 2032, Rosenior was brought in to lead a multi-year project.

As per reports, the club does not intend to review his position until the summer of 2027, even if they fail to secure Champions League football for next season.

Unless the team implodes in the final weeks of the current campaign, the hierarchy believes Rosenior deserves a full pre-season and a summer transfer window to mold the squad in his image.
