Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea centre-back Axel Disasi (26) will be left out of Enzo Maresca’s matchday squad for the Blues’ Premier League game tonight against Bournemouth as the France international could leave this January. Disasi was a regular starter under the tutelage of Mauricio Pochettino but his stock has increasingly lowered with Maresca in the dugout. Despite the long-term absence of fellow France centre-back Wesley Fofana (24), Chelsea are open to parting ways with Disasi as early as this winter.
Romano understands that “important clubs” have opened talks to explore a move for the 26-year-old Disasi. So far this campaign, Disasi featured more times in Chelsea’s Conference League run than in the Premier League. Disasi signed for Chelsea from AS Monaco eighteen years ago over a €45m transfer fee. He is tied with the West London outfit with a long-term contract set to expire in 2029. Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus have reportedly made their interest known.
