Chelsea Send Monitor Message To Camp Of Everton Target | OneFootball

Chelsea have informed Everton target Nick Woltemade’s camp that the London club will be keeping their eye on the striker in the European Under-21 Championship.

The Toffees have The Friedkin Group as their owners now and they will move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium for the start of next term, leaving Goodison Park behind.

David Moyes helped Everton have a good end to their previous season and the onus is now on the new owners to back the boss in the market with signings that will make a difference.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s contract situation is still not sorted and the Merseyside outfit have been linked with multiple forwards.

Villarrreal’s Thierno Barry – with a bid suggested to have been made -, Fiorentina attacker Albert Gudmundsson and Stuttgart hitman Woltemade are on their radar.

Woltemade has multiple suitors all around Europe and the Bundesliga side have made it clear that at least €40m is needed to sign the German this summer.

And now, according to German daily Bild (via Fussball Transfers), Chelsea are now in for the German striker.

It has also been suggested that the west London outfit have made it clear to Woltemade’s camp that they will be keeping their eyes on the striker.

Even though Woltemade has played for the senior German team, he will turn out for the Germany Under-21s in the European Under-21 Championship, where he will be scouted by Chelsea.

Everton will also be keen on seeing what Woltemade can do for his national team and if he is able to perform well, his stock will only go up after the tournament.

He had his breakout season at Stuttgart in the recently concluded campaign, where he made 20 goal contributions in 33 games.
