Tottenham are set to beat Chelsea to the signing of Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig, according to reports.
The Athletic say Simons has signed a deal until 2030 with Tottenham, which also includes a further two-year option.
Chelsea were also after the Dutchman but he is not their main priority, which is why they have not pursued the deal with maximum intent, according to Matt Law.
Chelsea reportedly never actually formally placed a bid for the 22-year-old.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are getting closer to launching a Premier League record bid for Alexander Isak, according to Mike McGrath.
They are expected to bid £130 million for the Swede and there is more optimism that a deal can be done with Nick Woltemade reportedly set to be added to the Newcastle squad.
The Magpies haven’t been able to agree a deal with a striker this summer which has been a huge block in the way of the Isak deal, but Woltemade has agreed a move according to various reports.
Arsenal are moving closer to a deal for Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapie, report The Times.
The clubs are discussing an initial loan deal for the Ecuadorian defender.
Jakub Kiwior looks set to depart, however, with the Athletic reporting that a move to Porto has been agreed.
West Ham have officially completed the signing of Mateus Fernandes from Southampton in a deal worth £38 million.
The Portuguese midfielder signs on a five-year-deal and adds some much needed depth in the middle of the park for Graham Potter.
And Sky Sports News claim that Kobbie Mainoo has asked Manchester United to leave on loan to get more game time.
