Chelsea star signs new deal as Rytting Kaneryd departs

Chelsea forward Aggie Beever-Jones has signed a new contract at the club until 2030.

The 22-year-old, who has been at the club since she was nine, has established herself as a key player in the Chelsea first-team over the past three seasons, making 97 appearances for the Blues and scoring 32 goals.

During her time under the management of first Emma Hayes and then Sonia Bompastor, Beever-Jones has won the Women’s Super League twice as well as lifting both the Women’s FA Cup and Women’s League Cup on two occasions. She was also part of the domestic treble winning team of 2024/25.

Beever-Jones said: “It feels great. Chelsea has been my club since I was a young girl, and that means a lot to me and my family. It’s a very proud day, and I’m super excited to be able to continue my journey and make more memories in blue.”

Beever-Jones becomes the third Chelsea player this summer to sign a contract extension, after Sandy Baltimore and Lucy Bronze.

Meanwhile, Johanna Rytting Kaneryd has left Chelsea to join French side Lyon in a permanent deal.

Rytting Kaneryd spent four seasons with the Blues, making 139 appearances and winning three WSL titles, as well as two FA Cups and two League Cups.
