According to Ben Jacobs, Chelsea would only sanction the sale of Enzo Fernández for 145 million euros, with Real Madrid and PSG viewed as the leading options. The club are understood to be aware of the midfielder’s wish to leave London at the end of the season.
Chelsea are also intent on recouping significantly more than they paid in January 2023 when they signed the Argentine from Benfica, reflecting a desire to profit on any move.
The picture has grown more delicate after the World Cup winner signalled an intention to depart the side coached by Liam Rosenior once the campaign ends, amid underwhelming results.
This season for Chelsea, Fernández has featured in 45 matches, 29 in the Premier League, 10 in the Champions League, four in the League Cup and two in the FA Cup. He is valued at 90 million euros.
Across 3,571 minutes he has 12 goals and six assists. Having shone at Benfica, he could yet headline the European market in the next window if interest firms and the price is met.
