Chelsea are apparently unlikely to make a move to sign a player who would be a very popular purchase amongst the fan base.

But any chance that the fans might think they have about seeing this top class player arriving at the club seems to be disappearing.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea in contact for player who reminds Gianfranco Zola of himself in his playing days!

Antoine Semenyo is the talk of the town at the moment and he is one of the best players in the Premier League from across the last couple of seasons. I remember speaking about him and a potential Chelsea move in the summer, but at that moment Bournemouth were pricing their star man out of a move anywhere with a high price tag.

But now, it’s emerged that he has a reasonable release clause that can be triggered in January, and there are many clubs lining up to sign him. Unfortunately though, as of now, Chelsea are now looking like they will be one of them. Sigh.

Chelsea not in for Semenyo

According to a report from talkSPORT this week, Chelsea are unlikely to move for Semenyo.

The report says that Chelsea are the only club unlikely to enter the race for him. The Blues feel well-stocked with wingers having added Estevao Willian, Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens over the summer.

Semenyo is better than most of them

Apart from Estevao, Semenyo for me is a better winger than Gittens, Garnacho, and even Neto for me.

If Chelsea were serious, they would be moving in on this one for the fee that is expected to be around £60m. But I get it, they’ve just spent around £100m signing Garnacho and Gittens, so that’s why they wont be spending any more on new wingers right now.

A real shame though.
