There are always a couple of relegated players who are poached by the big boys, and this could be a bumper year.

The teams that are relegated are going to be of a much higher standard (in terms of their playing staff) than usual, with Spurs and West Ham both at risk.

One player we really like at the latter is Mateus Fernandes, and should the Hammers go down it’s certain he will be poached by someone.

TeamTalk name a number of teams interested in the Portugal international, previously at Southampton. He’s been at the heart of everything good at West Ham since Lucas Paqueta left in January.

West Ham paid more than £40m for the 21 year old, and we can only imagine how massive a fee they would want to sell him. Still, his quality is obvious, and we know we’d love to see Chelsea make a move for him.

If Enzo Fernandez leaves, we could get Fernandes for similar money, and he would bring an extra level of physicality to this team.
