Chelsea will reportedly sell one of their key players this summer due to a ruthless reason, a reason that will put others at risk of being sold.

The news comes off the back of Chelsea getting an essential three points on Saturday afternoon by beating Everton 1-0 at home after a fantastic first half goal from striker Nicolas Jackson ending his 2025 goal draught.

EXCLUSIVE! Three Chelsea players who are not enjoying the football under Enzo Maresca!

It was far from an easy game for Chelsea though, and goalkeeper Robert Sanchez became the unlikely hero and was actually the reason that they could see the win out and collect all three points, making some big second half saves to deny certain goals.

Another one of Chelsea’s best players on the pitch was defender Trevoh Chalobah and really, he was a strong candidate for man of the match too. Enzo Maresca defended Chelsea’s decision to let him go on loan in the summer after then recalling him in the winter.

Chelsea’s injuries have been a lot better this season but they have still been suffering. Wesley Fofana is one of the most injured players at the club and has rarely been available since he arrived from Leicester in a big money move.

Fofana set to be sold?

According to Foot Mercato this week, Chelsea have opened the door to the sale or loan of Wesley Fofana due to repeated injuries to the player. Marseille are one of the clubs who are interested and have had recent talks with the player.

And this makes you wonder about other frequently injured players like Reece James and Romeo Lavia, will they soon become at risk of being sold or loaned as well? Lavia has a similar record as Fofana in terms of games missed, but Fofana has been at Chelsea a lot longer.
