Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers after reportedly beating Arsenal to the England international's signature.
The Blues have submitted an offer worth around £117 million, which Aston Villa are understood to have accepted. Arsenal had identified Rogers as one of their top targets this summer, but Chelsea moved quickly to take control of the deal.
The 23-year-old has already agreed personal terms and is expected to travel to London on Monday to complete his medical and sign a contract until June 2032.
Rogers enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 campaign, playing a key role in Aston Villa's Europa League triumph. The versatile attacking midfielder, who can also operate on the right wing, registered 14 goals and 11 assists in 55 appearances across all competitions.
He is currently away with England at the World Cup, where he has featured prominently during the tournament. Rogers started against Panama in the group stage and Argentina in the semi-finals, while also being available for Saturday's third-place play-off against France before completing his move to Stamford Bridge.
