Chivas Femenil continues to demonstrate that they have plenty of tools, and with a great demonstration of fixed tactics, they won their first home game with a 3-1 victory over Atletico San Luis, on Matchday 7 of the Clausura 2025 at the Akron Stadium. The team coached by Antonio Contreras reached 14 points in the tournament, which puts them squarely in the fight for the top spots in the standings.
Early in the match, the Rebaño took the lead with a set piece, the same formula they repeated a couple more times, with a hat-trick of assists from Carolina Jaramillo and three great headers from the Rojiblancas. Despite the fact that the visitors managed to pull one back, there was never any doubt about their dominance at the home of the Rebaño.
Guadalajara Femenil will continue its busy schedule this Monday, February 10, as it will have to visit Xolos at the Estadio Caliente for Matchday 8 of the competition, where it will try to extend its good momentum even further.
The goals
-In the first minute of the match, Chivas Femenil is already in the lead! At 3' and with a precise cross from 'Caro' on a set piece, Damaris Godínez headed a precise shot to the far post to beat the goalkeeper and move the scoreboard.
-The formula was repeated for the second! At 10', again from a set piece, Jaramillo found 'Licha' alone, who only had to meet the ball with her forehead to move the Potosi net.
-At 19', the 'Atleti' scored with a ball to Luciana García, who eluded Blanca and scored with her left foot.
-Once again from a set piece! At 49', once again the left foot of the 'Comandante' sent the ball to the pot where Yamile Franco turned her neck and crossed the ball to put the third Rojiblanco goal on the scoreboard.
The dangerous ones
At 12', 'Viri' Salazar broke down the left and found the 'Depredadora', who tried to surprise with a left-footed shot at the near post, but the goalkeeper made a good save.
-Joselyn De la Rosa tried at 28' from half distance after a great run by 'Viri', but her shot ended up in the goalkeeper's hands.
-At 63' a cross from the corner found the head of 'Gaby' Valenzuela, who headed the ball but it went out to Zarate.
At 70', a great back-heel by 'Gaby' left Salazar alone inside the area, who shot with her left foot looking to beat the goalkeeper.
-At 72', a penalty kick was awarded to Guadalajara, which Jaramillo took, but the goalkeeper guessed correctly and saved the shot.
