SUB 21

The young Rebaño earned three points for the second time in the tournament after defeating Atlético San Luis 0–1. This result propelled them up the standings, where they now sit on 7 points.

It didn’t take long for the Rojiblancos to break the deadlock. From a set-piece routine off a corner kick, Hugo Mata arrived unmarked in the box and blasted a right-footed finish past the goalkeeper in the 3rd minute. That early goal allowed Luis Arce’s team to dictate the tempo of the match.

The second half followed a similar script, as the Guadalajara side controlled their opponent throughout, containing San Luis’ attempts to find an equalizer and ultimately securing the win.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 7th minute through Juan Hernández. Guadalajara responded before halftime, leveling the match with a finish from Rigo Pinto in the 40th minute.

In the second half, the Potosí side once again took the lead, but Aldrin Mariaca equalized before the final whistle to send the match to penalties.
