Gustavo Hamer was a class act for Sheffield United against Ipswich Town, reminding Chris Wilder about his ability.
Sheffield United proved their class in their 3-1 win over Ipswich Town on Saturday, while one particular aspect of their performance will have given Chris Wilder serious food for thought.
The Blades established a 2-0 half-time lead thanks to goals from Callum O'Hare and Andre Brooks, while Patrick Bamford's strike cancelled out Jack Clarke's penalty.
Wilder's men now sit nine points adrift of the Championship play-off places, with a game in hand on sixth-place Wrexham, who earned a victory over Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
The South Yorkshire outfit take on Millwall in their next second-tier encounter, and Wilder will have to depend on his star performers to produce the goods once again.

Amid the January transfer window, Sheffield United ace Gustavo Hamer has attracted interest from Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.
Offloading the 28-year-old, whose contract at Bramall Lane expires at the end of next season, had seemed like a reasonable option for Wilder to take, given the attacking midfielder's lack of involvement in recent weeks.
Before the Blades' victory over Ipswich on Saturday, Hamer had not started for his side in the Championship since their 5-3 defeat to Wrexham on Boxing Day.
Furthermore, the former Coventry City man's start for Wilder's men in their FA Cup defeat to Mansfield Town arguably came as a by-product of plenty of rotation.
However, by producing two assists against the Tractor Boys, Hamer proved that when he is at his best, he is still one of Sheffield United's best players.
With the Blades eyeing up a play-off place despite currently residing in 17th place in the Championship, Wilder should be keen to select Hamer in his upcoming starting lineups, let alone merely deciding not to cash in on his services just yet.

One player who particularly benefited from Hamer's recent spell on the substitutes' bench was his former Coventry teammate O'Hare.
Both the Dutchman and the Englishman are arguably at their best when they are in their conventional number 10 role, as opposed to being utilised out wide.
Meanwhile, O'Hare scored in the Blades' 3-1 triumph over Leicester City on New Year's Day, having been named in the starting 11, whereas Hamer failed to notch a goal contribution off the bench.
However, the two attacking midfielders combined effectively against the Tractor Boys, with Hamer starting wide to accommodate O'Hare in a more central role.
The Dutchman's assist for his former Coventry colleague was particularly impressive, as he split the Tractor Boys' defence with a pass on the half-volley.
Hamer has still notched just two goals and five assists in the Championship this season, having scored 10 goals and produced eight assists last term, proving that he has not found his best form in recent months.
However, Sheffield United's potent attacking efforts against Ipswich have surely reminded Wilder that the 28-year-old is capable of producing the goods when he is called upon, even in some of the season's biggest games.
