Insurance company, Blue Emergency Cover, has helped to fund a new full-time role at City in the Community, enabling the charity’s communications team to share more impact stories than ever before.

Blue Emergency Cover offers boiler and central heating insurance plans, serving Greater Manchester and surrounding areas.

To celebrate the new partnership, Blue Emergency Cover is investing a further £1 into CITC each time a new user signs up for insurance using code CITC20.

They will also be offering free boiler checks for adult City in the Community participants during the winter, as well as providing a bonus discount for staff.

Head of Communications at CITC, Rachel Clarkson, said: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome aboard a CITC Communications partner for the very first time.

“The people we support are the heartbeat of our charity and, therefore, their stories represent the foundation of which my department is built upon.

“To be able to invest further into our content team, bringing more unique journeys to life, is an incredible opportunity and we look forward to working closely with Blue Emergency Cover as the campaign grows.”

Operations Manager at Blue Emergency Cover, Rebecca Shaw, added: “Supported by Nationwide Heating Services, Blue Emergency Cover is driven by a strong vision, quality focus, and a commitment to safety and customer values.

“By partnering with CITC, we aim to strengthen our ability to serve and empower communities. This relationship reflects a shared dedication to making a positive difference to lives across Manchester and we look forward to seeing the release of this year’s We Are CITC stories.”
