Bristol City beat Hull City 3-2 at the MKM Stadium, climbing to eighth in the Championship and sending the hosts down to fourth.

In the 24th minute Oliver McBurnie finished from close range after Regan Slater's pass put Hull ahead. Rob Atkinson levelled with a header (33.), then Ross McCrorie rifled City in front from Scott Twine's lay-off (39.).

After the restart Emil Riis Jakobsen slotted a third on the counter from Twine's through ball (50.). Hull's response came from substitute Kieran Dowell, on since the 65th minute, who guided in Joe Gelhardt's pass (78.).

The fourth official indicated 10 minutes of second half stoppage time as the visitors saw it out.

Hull enjoyed 67.8% possession and registered 10 attempts, five on target. City produced six efforts on target from 11 attempts and made 27 clearances.
