All the information you need ahead of City’s Premier League 2 Round of 16 clash with Liverpool.
Following the completion of Gameweek 20, which included a thrilling 4-0 win over Newcastle for Ben Wilkinson’s Elite Development Squad, City topped the PL2 table.
And after Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Aston Villa, we will take on the Reds in our first knockout stage game of the play-offs following their 16th-place finish.
Placing higher in the league standings means City have the home advantage and will welcome Liverpool to the Joie Stadium on Friday 25 April, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 (UK).

Our most recent encounter with Liverpool was City’s first PL2 game of the 2024/25 campaign.
A consolation goal from Jacob Wright wasn’t enough in our 3-1 defeat on the road with strikes from Dominic Corness, Thomas Hill and James Norris sealing one of seven victories for the hosts.
It would prove to be just one of three defeats for our young boys in blue who went on to win 15 of our 20 matches prior to the playoffs
Our most recent performance saw Ben Wilkinson's side cruise past Newcastle with a fantastic 4-0 display at the Joie Stadium.
An early own goal by Toon captain Cathal Heffernan was the result of constant pressure from Wilkinson’s side.
Justin Oboavwoduo doubled City’s lead shortly afterwards with Divin Mubama’s brace confirming victory.
A win against Liverpool will extend our Premier League 2 season as we look to become the play-off champions.
The winner of Friday evening's game will take on either Southampton (7th) or Arsenal (8th) in the quarter-final which will be played on the weekend of Saturday 3 May.
A defeat will see the curtain fall on our 2024/25 campaign.
