In our final look back at the 2024/25 campaign, we focus on our forwards.
With the Blues competing in 61 matches over 11 long months, our squad was tested to the full.
Here’s how those who led the line or attacked from the flanks fared…
Total appearances: 48
Goals: 34
Assists: 5
Any striker in world football would justifiably be happy with 34 goals from 48 appearances.
Erling Haaland delivered yet again in sky blue, yet such are his standards that he will probably be disappointed not to have scored even more.
Haaland has always been a marked man since his move to England, and last season once again saw him often chaperoned by at least two central defenders at times.
With Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne unable to reach the assist and chances created numbers of previous campaigns, there was less for the Norwegian to feast on in 2024/25 – yet 34 goals is a stunning return.
With a fully fit Foden, the arrival of Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki along with fresh ideas from Pep Lijnders, expect another hatful of goals in the coming season.
Total appearances: 25
Goals: 8
Assists: 3
Omar Marmoush gave a solid return in terns of goals and assists in 2024/25.
Joining a new club midway through the season, learning how your team-mates play and getting used to life in anew league and country is never easy.
But with a return of around a goal every three appearances, the Egyptian has shown a glimpse of what is to come.
Capable of devastating passages of play – such as his first-half treble against Newcastle – and spectacular goals, such as his howitzer against Bournemouth, Marmoush is an exciting addition to the Blues’ attack.
Total appearances: 48
Goals: 3
Assists: 13
If there’s one stat column Savinho will look to improve next season, it’s the goals scored.
Three goals is not as many as the Brazilian would have wanted, but he showed with scorcher against Juventus at the Club World Cup what he is capable of.
However, 13 assists is an excellent return.
After starting the season brightly, like many of the City players, the middle of the campaign was tough for the young winger – but with his first full year completed, expect Savinho to have a major impact in 2025/26.
Total appearances: 41
Goals: 8
Assists: 9
One of European football’s most dynamic talents, Jeremy Doku gave his all during 2024/25.
The Belgian remains a full-back’s nightmare with his electric acceleration over a five or six yards and at times, he is almost unplayable.
His overall return of eight goals and nine assists is a decent return in what was a below par campaign overall for City.
And Doku’s willingness to keep going when things might not be going the Blues’ way has made him a popular figure among City fans.
The capture of Rayan Ait-Nouri – as demonstrated at the Club World Cup – could be a huge benefit to Doku with the overlapping Algerian offering different options down the left flank.
Total appearances: 32
Goals: 3
Assists: 5
While 2024/25 won’t perhaps rank as Jack Grealish’s most productive campaign for City, the popular winger gave his all whenever called upon.
Opportunities were limited for the England star, with Pep Guardiola having many options in his position.
His performance in the 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest showed how effective he can be in a central midfield role, but again, it is a an area the Blues are blessed with many quality options.
