It’s been a positive start for Oliver Reiss and his Under-18s who have won all three league games and drew our Under-18 Premier League Cup group stage opener against Crystal Palace.

For Ben Wilkinson and his EDS, it’s been a rocky start with one win and two defeats in the Premier League 2. But a 5-1 win over Oldham in the EFL Trophy will likely be marked as a highlight for the season already.

Below is all the information on September’s fixtures for both teams, including kick-off times and dates*.

You’ll also be able to find out what content will be available on mancity.com and the Official Man City App, alongside regular updates on X and our brand-new Academy Instagram: @ManCityAcademy.

*All fixture dates and kick-off times are subject to change.

EDS FIXTURES

City v Napoli | Thursday 18 September, kick-off time TBC | UEFA Youth League

Our September fixtures begin with our first UEFA Youth League clash of 2025/26. Our YL fixtures mirror those of the first six Pep Guardiola’s team will play in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League.

This means our home tie against Napoli will be up first. The dates for all of our Youth League games have been confirmed, but all kick-off times will be made available in due course. Keep across mancity.com and the Official Man City App for updates on the kick-off times.

During the match, updates will be available on our Academy Instagram and X. Once the game at the Joie Stadium has concluded, a detailed match report plus post-match reaction will be available online.

Sunderland v City | Saturday 20 September, 14:00 (UK) | Premier League 2

Then our attention turns back to the Premier League 2 and our title defence.

We travel to the Black Cats on Saturday 20 September, with this fixture date and kick-off time to be confirmed.

Bolton Wanderers v City | Tuesday 23 September, 19:00 (UK) | EFL Trophy

Our third game and competition, in September, will see us travel to the Toughsheet Community Stadium where we face Bolton Wanderers in the EFL Trophy.

After our 5-1 win over Oldham in our first group game, at least a draw and penalty shootout win could confirm our place in the knockout stage of the competition.

Updates will be available on the Academy X and Instagram accounts: @ManCityAcademy with a detailed match report and post-match reaction to follow on our website and app shortly after the full-time whistle.

City v Southampton | Friday 26 September, 19:00 (UK) | Premier League 2

To complete the month, we will welcome the Saints to the Joie Stadium for a 19:00 (UK) kick-off on Friday 26 September.

It’s our first time facing Southampton since our battle in the PL2 final last season. Goals from Divin Mubama and Ashton Muir secured City a 2-0 win and the league title.

The game will be available to watch live on CITY+ with updates throughout the evening also on our Academy social media channels.

Like always, a match report and post-match interviews will follow once the game has concluded. And no worries if you can’t tune in live, eight-minute highlights and a CITY+ full-match replay will also be available.

U18s FIXTURES

Wolverhampton Wanderers v City | Saturday 13 September, 11:30 (UK) | Under-18 Premier League North

Our Under-18s begin our three September fixtures with a trip to the West Midlands and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Looking to stay at the league summit, the clash will be available to watch live on mancity.com and the Official Man City App for those with a CITY+ subscription. And if you are unable to watch live, updates will be available on our Academy Instagram and X.

Once the game is over, eight-minute highlights, a CITY+ full-match replay, match report and post-match reaction will all be available on our website and app.

City v Newcastle | Saturday 20 September, 12:30 (UK) | Under-18 Premier League North

Hoping to emulate last season’s fantastic 7-1 win over the Magpies, we welcome Newcastle to the CFA on Saturday 20 September.

Kick-off is scheduled for 12:30 (UK) with the CITY+ stream to start just before the game begins.

Once the game has finished, a detailed match report, post-match reaction, highlights and CITY+ full-match replay will be available on mancity.com and the Official Man City App.

Manchester United v City | Saturday 27 September, 11:00 (UK) | Under-18 Premier League North

To complete the month, City will travel to Carrington to take on Manchester United in what is always a thrilling fixture in the calendar.

Our last trip to our title contenders ended with a fantastic 4-0 win for City. Reiss’ team will be hoping for a similar outcome, with the clash available to watch live on CITY+.

Afterwards, our usual suite of post-match content will be available on our website and app for you to sink your teeth in to.
