West Ham appear to be closing in on an agreement to sign El Hadji Malick Diouf.

Graham Potter is understood to be eager to bring the 20 year old left wing back to east London, with Emerson set to depart in the coming weeks to a club in Serie A.

Personal terms are not expected to be an issue, with just the fee to get agreed, however we have it under good authority that talks are progressing well with Slavia Prague, with an agreement expected.

It would be seen as a coup for West Ham, with Diouf eyed by clubs in European competition, but the player is said to be excited by the project presented by Potter and his Head of Recruitment Kyle Macaulay.

The club are also set to ramp up interest in Toulouse and England U21 defender Charlie Cresswell in the coming days, with talks over a £17m move being very much in the works:
