Club América have moved in the market, adding three signings for the first semester as they prepare for Clausura 2026 and the Concachampions. Only one is currently pencilled in to start, the other two deepen the squad with Mexican internationals set to miss the liguilla.
According to Americayya.net, the arrivals are Rodrigo Dourado from San Luis, Fernando Tapia returning after spells with Venados, Querétaro and Tigres, and Aarón Mejía from Xolos.
Dourado, a 31-year-old Brazilian midfielder, addresses a midfield void, with Jonathan dos Santos and Alan Cervantes not at the required level.
Tapia has been brought back to push Malagón for the gloves, and it is very likely he starts in the liguilla.
Mejía, a 24-year-old right-back with limited recent minutes, is intended to challenge Kevin Álvarez.
Outgoings include Javairo Dilrosun, who remains on the books and has been training away from the first team while awaiting an offer. Igor Lichnovsky has trained with the group but has been told he is not in the plans, and he will not be registered for this tournament as he waits for a suitable move.
Further business could involve Mexican additions. Another foreign signing would depend on Víctor Dávila departing, and there is currently no slot available.
