MIAMI – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup continues with Club América hosting Orlando Pride in Group A on Tuesday at Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes in Mexico City, Mexico.

Both teams will with high spirits after securing back-to-back wins in their previous encounters. Club América will defend first place in the group, separated from second place Orlando by one point.

Irene Guerrero is one of the key players for América and is in the race for the Golden Boot with three goals. Captain Kiana Palacios and young star Montserrat Saldivar will also be players to watch for the Mexican powerhouse.

First time participants Orlando Pride are proving to be one of the teams to follow. Summer Yates, who is also in the Top Scorer race after a hat-trick against Chorrillo FC, is a player in top form for the reigning NWSL champions.

Club América Femenil earned back-to-back victories for the second time in W Champions Cup history. The previous instance was in 2024 with a 5-0 win over Santa Fe FC (September 19) and a 1-0 result against San Diego Wave (October 16).

This marked the first time América Femenil won by a one-goal margin. Across their five all-time victories, they have never conceded a goal. It also stands as their first win against a fellow Liga MX Femenil side.

With this result, América Femenil reached 6 clean sheets, becoming the club with the most shutouts in W Champions Cup history, surpassing NY Gotham FC (5).

Scarlett Camberos scored her third goal in the tournament, all with América Femenil (1 in 2024/2025 and 2 in 2025/2026). She has now scored against three different clubs: Rise Academy, Chorrillo FC, and CF Pachuca Femenil.

Orlando Pride recorded its second consecutive win, scoring 8 goals and conceding none, becoming the fourth club in tournament history to keep clean sheets in its first two matches, following NY Gotham FC (2024/2025), América Femenil (2025/2026), and Washington Spirit (2025/2026).

Julie Doyle scored her second goal of the tournament and the fastest goal ever scored by an Orlando Pride player in W Champions Cup history (03:57).

Summer Yates recorded a hat-trick, becoming the first player to do so for Orlando Pride, the sixth overall in tournament history, and the second-youngest to net three goals in a single match globally (25 years, 2 months, 30 days).

Ally Lemos scored her first goal in the tournament.
