Chelsea star Cole Palmer's attempt to legally own his iconic "icy" celebration has been chilled by an unexpected opponent: a prestigious French winery.

The 23-year-old's bid to trademark the name "Cold Palmer" was ultimately rejected after Chateau Palmer, a wine estate from Bordeaux's Margaux region, successfully argued that the registration would damage their brand's image. The dispute escalated to a legal battle, but the court ultimately ruled in favor of the winemakers, leaving the footballer unable to secure the trademark for his signature gesture.
