Chelsea talisman Cole Palmer has named the one former Blues icon that he would play with if given the choice in a latest video section for the Premier League on YouTube.

Palmer has taken the Premier League by storm since arriving at Chelsea from Manchester City in the summer of 2023, and he has really become a bit of a talisman. His numbers since arriving at the club are just crazy really, something that nobody expected to happen and something that any player can only dream of.

He has had the same kind of effect that Eden Hazard had on the club when he came here after Chelsea won the Champions League in 2012.

They are of course completely different players, as Palmer mentions in the video, but they are similar in terms of the impact they can make on a game and how they have both been Chelsea talismen. Hazard often carried Chelsea during his time, and Palmer did just that for the club last season.

Palmer responded: “Eden Hazard. Our game is different but I try to be as exciting as Hazard.”

I don’t think the pair will ever get to play together, unless of course there is some crazy charity match or something in years to come where the pair happen to get on the same pitch. But I just can’t see it.
