Former Chelsea star Frank Leboeuf has urged Cole Palmer to turn down any potential move to Real Madrid were it to occur in the future.
Palmer has established himself as not only one of the best players in the Premier League, but also one of the best in the world after joining Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023.
The England international is arguably Chelsea’s best player, and was named man of the match in both the Conference League and Club World Cup finals last season.
Palmer has struggled with a groin injury, which has caused him to miss the majority of the first half of the campaign.
The 23-year-old returned to action against Leeds earlier this month, and has been building his fitness over the past few games.
Palmer scored in the win against Everton, and Enzo Maresca confirmed ahead of Saturday’s game against Aston Villa he’s ready to play 90 minutes.

Inevitably Palmer’s form has seen him linked with the likes of Real Madrid, and Leboeuf has urged him to turn down any potential future move to the Spanish giants.
“If you are Cole Palmer, do you want to play for Real Madrid? Where are you going to play? You have Jude Bellingham, so many others,” he told Goal.
“You have to make the right choice. You have to think twice. Okay, I want to be at the best club in the world – maybe Real Madrid are the best club in the world – but you want to play, you don’t want to be on the bench.”
Palmer still has plenty to achieve at Chelsea, and Leboeuf feels a future move to the Spanish capital doesn’t make sense.

“That doesn’t make any sense. Cole Palmer has had a two-year career. City didn’t want to keep him, he was a real surprise, fantastic player, but slow down, you play for Chelsea Football Club and you can get something out of it.
“You never know, maybe you are at the right club. Maybe something will happen to Chelsea.”
