Coletivo Voz Corinthiana has suspended its day-to-day activities around Corinthians, citing an increasingly toxic online climate. The group said in a statement that debate had turned hostile, with personal attacks, threats, polarisation and time-sapping narratives. The announcement was made on Tuesday night.
Only three members are club associates, yet external opinion has sought to link the collective to the club’s status quo.
They cite complaints against ex-presidents Andrés Sanchez and Duilio Monteiro Alves, which resulted in the former’s expulsion and the latter’s renunciation of membership. They pursued legal action to ensure a General Assembly vote on the base text after rejection by the Conselho Deliberativo. The collective also asked the Ministério Público de São Paulo, MP-SP, for judicial intervention across all club powers and for a term to implement the statute reform. It opposed slate 82’s positions in court and the council, deeming them archaic and contrary to professionalisation and democratisation.
Hours before the announcement, the group published a technical and legal review of SAFiel’s new proposal to convert Corinthians into a Sociedade Anônima do Futebol. It warned of risks, gaps, legal inconsistencies and conceptual distortions in the project.
The collective has been among the most active in the statute reform debate, which featured ten public hearings between December 2025 and February this year. In June it released three papers on potential changes.
It maintains that democratisation and professionalisation are the most solid route to transform Corinthians, requiring qualified participation that is currently lacking. The group argues the status quo has stalled progress and reaches beyond the club. It stresses the pause is for protection, not a surrender.
