Colombia international Jefferson Lerma offered to Palmeiras | OneFootball

Palmeiras are in the market for a midfielder to bolster Abel Ferreira's squad and are assessing academy graduate Luis Pacheco.

According to Nosso Palestra, Crystal Palace's Jefferson Lerma, a regular Colombia call-up, has been offered to the club in recent weeks. Palmeiras have not opened talks and are evaluating the possibility internally.

The 31-year-old has a contract with the English club until June 2026 and is expected to play at the World Cup. Those managing his career view a move to South American football favourably.

After negotiating Aníbal Moreno's exit to River Plate, the midfield group includes Emiliano Martínez, Luis Pacheco and Marlon Freitas, with Freitas used in the role in the season's opening games.
