There are conflicting reports regarding Alexander Nübel’s future. While there is already talk in Turkey of a transfer decision, German reports paint a very different picture.
Alexander Nübel is among the players FC Bayern is looking to sell this summer. Following his loan stint at VfB Stuttgart, the 29-year-old no longer has a place in Munich’s plans and is expected to leave the club permanently.
But where the goalkeeper is headed currently seems anything but clear.
According to Turkish transfer expert Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, Nübel has already informed FC Bayern that he wants to join Beşiktaş Istanbul. The report states that the goalkeeper is now simply waiting for an agreement between the two clubs.
This report would suggest that Nübel has already made a clear decision to move to Turkey.
However, there is also conflicting information.
According to information from Sport BILD, while Besiktas is actively pursuing the former national team goalkeeper, a decision in favor of the historic Turkish club has not yet been made.
According to the report, the Istanbul club has already held concrete talks with the player’s entourage and has also made contact with FC Bayern.
The problem, however, is Munich’s transfer fee demand. According to the report, the record champions are asking for up to 20 million euros for a sale.
More importantly, according to Sport BILD, Nübel himself is reportedly hoping for offers from bigger clubs.
According to the report, Manchester City, Juventus Turin, and Benfica Lisbon, among others, are interested in the goalkeeper.
That is precisely why Nübel does not seem to be in any hurry to make a final commitment to Besiktas at the moment.

What is certain, however, is that FC Bayern is aiming for a permanent sale. As things stand, another loan is out of the question. Club officials want to remove the goalkeeper from the payroll for good and secure a transfer fee at the same time.
Upon his return from Stuttgart, Nübel would be nothing more than another option behind Manuel Neuer and Jonas Urbig in Munich. Bayern no longer sees a long-term future for the former Schalke goalkeeper.
Thus, the situation remains open. While there is already talk in Turkey of a transfer decision, there are strong indications that Nübel is still waiting for more attractive options.
One thing is clear: his departure from FC Bayern is drawing ever closer.
