Copa Sudamericana 2026 last 16 set after draw, play-offs to finalise field | OneFootball

The 2026 Copa Sudamericana round of 16 draw was made on Friday at Conmebol headquarters in Asunción, with playoffs to confirm the final eight teams. According to Globo.com, the knockout bracket now awaits July's play-off winners.

Play-off first legs are 21-23 July, returns 28-30 July. The last 16 follows on 11-13 and 18-20 August, quarter-finals on 8-10 and 15-17 September, semi-finals on 13-14 and 20-21 October, with the final on 21 November.

As group winners, Atlético-MG, São Paulo and Botafogo are through to the last 16. Grêmio, Vasco, RB Bragantino and Santos, who finished second, will contest the play-offs.

São Paulo will face the winner of Bolívar v Grêmio. Atlético-MG will meet whoever advances from Sporting Cristal v RB Bragantino.

Lanús or Cienciano play Botafogo, and Independiente Medellín or Vasco take on Olimpia. Universidad Central or Santos meet Macará, while Boca Juniors or O'Higgins face Recoleta.

Santa Fe or Caracas face River Plate, and Nacional or Tigre meet Montevideo City Torque. Champions will receive 10 million dollars, up from 6.5 million in 2025, with cumulative earnings reaching 12.9 million.
