Corinthians have advanced Fazendinha’s floodlight overhaul, starting work on the remaining side and moving the ground closer to full clearance.
According to Meu Timao, this is the penultimate phase. After installation, a specialist firm will align the beams to remove shadows, then technical inspections will follow.
The system is split across two sides. On the covered Numerada Norte, the smaller units have been replaced and tested. Attention has turned to the larger lights behind the uncovered stand.
Fazendinha has been barred from night matches since May 2025 by the Federação Paulista de Futebol due to lighting failures. The Brabas played elsewhere in 2026, including two dates at Neo Química Arena, totalling losses of over R$ 100,000.
Works have been run in house by the club’s Department of Patrimony and Works, which handled new cabling and installation of the new fixtures. Spending so far has surpassed R$ 400,000.
The internal route followed three quotes from specialist firms, all above R$ two million, a sum deemed unviable. The club therefore bought the equipment and executed most of the job with its own staff.
Meanwhile, Corinthians continue in the Brasileirão Feminino. They visit Botafogo at Nilton Santos on Friday 27 at 19:00. The next match, against Red Bull Bragantino, is set for the third at 21:00, with the home venue still to be confirmed.
