Corinthians draw F-League All Stars as Deives says farewell

In the early hours of Sunday to Monday (12), Corinthians Futsal took to the court to face the F-League All Stars, a team composed of the best players from Japan's futsal league. The friendly match ended in a 2-2 draw, with goals from Lucas Martins and Deives.

Nagoya Arena welcomed a good crowd to watch the match, which took place at 3 a.m. (Brasília time). The game marked Deives' farewell from the court wearing the Corinthians jersey, as the number 10 will retire from the sport, as announced at the beginning of last year.

Deives was set to retire at the end of 2025, after finishing as runner-up in the Campeonato Paulista and the Liga Nacional de Futsal (LNF). However, the organizers of the friendlies, who invited Corinthians, required the presence of the number 10 during negotiations for the tour.

After playing two friendlies, the black-and-white squad returns to Brazil to continue preparations for the upcoming season. With the squad undergoing changes, and in addition to Deives' retirement, Corinthians will compete in the Paulista, LNF, LNF Cup, and possibly the Libertadores in the second half of the year.
