Corinthians end 27th round of Brasileirão in 12th place, see the table

On the evening of this Saturday, the 4th, Corinthians returned to the field for the Brazilian Championship. In a match at Neo Química Arena for the 27th round of the national competition, the Alvinegro hosted Mirassol and, with a solid defensive performance and efficient attack, thrashed them 3-0 in front of 38,000 fans in Itaquera. The goals were scored by Maycon, Yuri Alberto, and André.

With this result, the club from Parque São Jorge moved up one position in the national tournament standings, leaving 13th place and now occupying 12th among the 20 participating clubs. In total, the team has 33 points, with eight wins, nine draws, and ten losses, as well as 29 goals scored and 32 conceded.

The Alvinegro triumph changed the distance to their local rivals. At this moment, for example, Palmeiras occupies the first position in the Brasileirão with 55 points. Meanwhile, Mirassol dropped to sixth place with 43 points. São Paulo, in turn, is in eighth with 38 points, one position ahead of Red Bull Bragantino, which has 36 points.

Furthermore, Corinthians remains ahead of Santos in the table, as the coastal team is in 16th place with 28 points. The gap to the relegation zone, finally, has increased to eight points, since Vitória, in 17th place, has 25 points. Check out the complete standings below:
