Corinthians finish fifth in Paulista first phase, draw Portuguesa away in quarter-finals | OneFootball

Corinthians beat São Bernardo 1-0 at the 1º de Maio on Sunday night, André scoring in the second half. The result sealed a Paulista knockout berth, with the club finishing fifth overall on 14 points from eight matches.

According to Meu Timao, the quarter-final pairs were locked in after the final round, sending Corinthians to face Portuguesa away. Elsewhere, Novorizontino meet Santos, Palmeiras play Capivariano, and Red Bull Bragantino take on São Paulo.

The Paulista quarter-finals are single-leg next weekend. Venues, dates and kick-off times will be confirmed by the Federação Paulista de Futebol. The semi-finals are also single-leg, while the final returns to two legs as last year.

Corinthians are the reigning state champions after beating Palmeiras in the 2025 final.

Before resuming their state campaign, Corinthians visit Athletico-PR in Paraná on Thursday at 19:30 in a rescheduled second-round Brasileiro match.
