Corinthians Futsal defender on team-mates, LNF run and goal streak

On the evening of this Saturday, 27, Corinthians returned to the court for the National Futsal League (LNF). In a match valid for the 23rd and last round of the first phase, Timão hosted Foz Cataratas at the Wlamir Marques Gymnasium and, after opening a two-goal advantage and suffering a tie, achieved a 3 x 2 victory in the final moments. The alvinegro goals were scored by Luiz Brizzi, Rick, and Deives.

After the match, the defender Lucas Martins spoke to Rádio Coringão, celebrating the return of number 10 Deives to the team after treating a problem in his right calf, as well as the recent signing of Marlon. "Dude, Deives' return and Marlon's arrival add a lot to our team. They are two world-class players, right, they are top in their position. I think Marlon will add a lot with us, we are getting along well in everything and it will only add to our team", he explained.

He also analyzed the Corinthians' campaign in the first phase of the LNF: "I think we lost a lot of silly points, games away from home, even here at Parque São Jorge, against opponents we should not lose to. And there was also stuff about injuries, everything, but we managed to come back strong and this year was better than the others."

Finally, Lucas Martins talked about his top scorer moment in the season, emphasizing that his priority is to help Corinthians win matches. "Being a defender, I'm even scoring quite a few goals (laughs), but really I don't care. For me, what matters is the victory, this goal thing is very natural", he concluded.
