Corinthians host São Paulo in the Majestoso at Neo Química Arena on Sunday at 18:30, entering the 15th round with eight players unavailable.
According to Meu Timao, most absences are medical. Kayke is rehabbing a left ACL rupture, Vitinho has hip pain, João Pedro Tchoca underwent inguinal hernia surgery this week, Charles has a right heel injury, and Hugo Farias is recovering from right knee meniscus reconstruction.
Memphis Depay, out for over a month with a grade 2 right thigh injury, had been in transition work for more than a week but was not cleared for the derby. He is now projected to return against Barra in the Copa do Brasil on Wednesday.
Two midfielders are suspended. Allan serves a one-match ban after his third yellow against Mirassol, and André Luiz sits out a second game under an STJD penalty following his red card versus Vasco.
Hugo Souza, Gabriel Paulista, Fabrizio Angileri and Rodrigo Garro are one booking from suspension. Another caution would rule them out of the next league match away to Botafogo in Rio de Janeiro.
There is relief too. Fernando Diniz can recall Matheuzinho after a four-match STJD ban for his dismissal against Palmeiras, while Gustavo Henrique and André Carrillo return after serving one-game suspensions for accumulated yellows.
Corinthians lost 2-1 to Mirassol and slipped back to 17th, the first spot in the relegation zone. They have 15 points from 14 games, and victory over São Paulo would offer a chance to leave the Z4.
