Corinthians learn their Paulista Futsal semi-final opponent

On Thursday (6), Corinthians learned who their opponent will be in the semifinals of the Paulista Futsal Championship. The alvinegro team will face Ferroviária Pinda in a match that will determine one of the finalists of the state competition.

The contest will be played over two games, with the first scheduled for November 13, a Thursday, at 7:30 PM, at Ginásio Tobias Salgado in Pindamonhangaba, in the interior of São Paulo. The return leg is set for a week later, at 8:00 PM, at Ginásio Wlamir Marques in São Paulo. On the other side of the bracket, Magnus and Santo André will battle for the other spot in the final.

In the initial phase, Timão finished with the second-best campaign, totaling 33 points, the same as Magnus, who led only due to goal difference. In the quarterfinals, the team led by Fernando Malafaia overcame Pulo Campinas and secured a spot among the top four.

Corinthians and Ferroviária Pinda have already faced each other this season. The meeting took place on June 10, when the capital club won convincingly 5-0, also away from home. Now, the two teams meet again with a place in the grand final at stake.

Before their commitment in the Paulista, Corinthians have another important challenge in the National Futsal League (LNF). The team faces Magnus again, on Tuesday, at 9:00 PM, at Arena Sorocaba, for the second leg of the quarterfinals, after winning the first match.
