Corinthians line-up set for Copa do Brasil semi-final v Cruzeiro

Corinthians takes to the field this Sunday afternoon (14th), at 6 PM (Brasília time), against Cruzeiro, at the Neo Química Arena, for the second leg of the Copa do Brasil semifinals. The three-time champion of the national knockout tournament (1995, 2002, and 2009), the Alvinegro seeks its fourth title in the competition after 16 years. Timão plays with the advantage of a draw after winning the first leg 1-0 at Mineirão, with a goal scored by Memphis Depay.

The Alvinegra team had two uncertainties for the match: midfielder Raniele and forward Yuri Alberto. However, both managed to recover in time to be available to coach Dorival Júnior for the decisive match in Itaquera.

In light of this, coach Dorival Júnior chose the following team to start the match: Hugo Souza, Matheuzinho, André Ramalho, Gustavo Henrique, Matheus Bidu, José Martinez, Maycon, André Carrillo, Breno Bidon, Memphis Depay, and Yuri Alberto.

The bench options include: Felipe Longo, Rodrigo Garro, Romero, Raniele, Cacá, Fabrizio Angileri, Vitinho, Charles, João Pedro, André, Gui Negão, and Dieguinho.

In the current edition of the Copa do Brasil, Corinthians has already eliminated Novorizontino (third phase), Palmeiras (round of 16), and Athletico-PR (quarterfinals), and is undefeated, with eight goals scored and none conceded – 100% success rate. If they confirm their place in the final, Timão will face the winner of the match between Fluminense and Vasco, which takes place later at 8:30 PM, in a decision contested over two games.
