Corinthians Mogi beat Assama 3-1 in Goiânia on Sunday, 7 June, to lift the Brazilian Amputee Football Championship, their sixth national crown and first since 2019, becoming the country's most successful side, according to Meu Timao. The club's terrestrial sports department marked the triumph on social media on Monday.
In the group stage they drew 1-1 with Ourinhos, thrashed Faro 6-1 and lost 2-1 to Esperia.
The knockouts brought revenge over Esperia with a 3-0 quarter-final win, then a frantic 3-2 semi-final against Ourinhos under William Abreu to reach the showpiece.
Forward Rogerinho R9, one of the sport's leading figures, moved to 709 career goals during the tournament, standing alone as the top scorer in amputee football history.
The project, launched in 2015 through a partnership between Corinthians and Mogi das Cruzes city hall, has become a national reference point and followed a dominant spell in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
This victory also secures a berth at the 2027 Libertadores for the discipline. The inaugural edition was staged in early 2026 and won by Ourinhos, with details for the next tournament to be announced by the CBFA under Consfa.
Beyond their national haul, the side have seven Campeonato Paulista crowns and six Copa do Brasil titles.
