Corinthians have completed six reinforcements early in 2026, pushing an aggressive window that largely avoids fees, as the club manage debt of about R$ 2.8bn.
According to Globo.com, four recruits were free agents and two arrived on loan. Announced are Gabriel Paulista, Matheus Pereira, Pedro Milans and Kaio César, with Fabrizio Angileri and Zakaria Labyad lined up pending confirmation.
Gabriel Paulista has signed to the end of 2027 on a free, and Pedro Milans agreed a four-year deal without a fee. Matheus Pereira is on loan through 2026 for R$ 1.8m, while Kaio César has a loan through 2026 with a six million euro option, R$ 37.6m.
Last year the club ran modest windows. Only Angileri arrived at the start, then Vitinho joined in August before a five-month FIFA transfer ban, lifted in early 2026. Both were free agents.
The squeeze stems in part from 2024, when Corinthians made 20 signings and spent R$ 166.5m.
Unpaid transfer fees under impeached ex-president Augusto Melo sparked FIFA cases, one bringing the ban. Under Osmar Stabile, the club paid R$ 33.4m to Santos Laguna for Félix Torres to lift it. Other FIFA rulings are under CAS appeal and may add to sums due to avoid further bans.
Coach Dorival Júnior has long called for additions. A move for Alisson collapsed when the board refused to pay São Paulo for a loan. After the 1-0 loss to Palmeiras on Sunday, he said he still plans three or four more signings.
