Corinthians will be without midfielders André Luiz and Breno Bidon against Red Bull Bragantino on Thursday at 20:00 at Neo Química Arena in the third round of the Brasileirão. The pair have been left out through injury.

The club said in a statement that André has a left ankle ligament injury, while Bidon is recovering from a right hamstring strain. Both started Sunday’s Dérbi in Itaquera, a 1-0 defeat in the Paulistão. No return timeframe was given.

They join forward Kaio César, sidelined with a right hamstring issue since last Thursday against Capivariano. Left-back Hugo remains in the treatment room after a meniscal suture to address a bucket-handle lateral meniscus injury.

André also missed several weeks between October and November last year with an ankle ligament problem, that time on the right. He has played seven times this season, starting six, and has one goal.

Bidon has featured in eight matches, six as a starter, and has two goals, second only to Yuri Alberto on 3. Against Palmeiras he felt discomfort in the first half but was only substituted at 43 minutes of the second half.

Without the young midfielders, Dorival Júnior turns to the returning André Carrillo, back after left adductor discomfort, and Rodrigo Garro. Raniele and Matheus Pereira complete the midfield quartet.

Corinthians are chasing their first league win and aim to climb off the bottom after losing to Bahia in the opener. They have a game in hand from the second round, as do Athletico Paranaense.
