In the last round of the first stage of the Copinha, Corinthians defeated XV de Jaú and secured first place in the group for the first stage. After the hard-fought match, the club published behind-the-scenes footage of the clash, which included a pre-match talk by William Batista and Thomas Lisboa, the new team captain.

“And man, we have to put it in our heads that it’s in our hands, man. The qualification is in our hands. We know our ability, we don’t have to prove anything to anyone, man. We have to prove to ourselves that we deserve this sh**,” the captain began.

Next, the coach took the floor and lifted the team’s spirits, highlighting the greatness of the club and how everyone involved in the delegation worked so that the team could reach the final.

Corinthians started by winning the match and thus secured qualification as group leaders. At halftime, William Batista spoke again about the team’s positive performance.

After the final whistle, with the 3-2 victory sealed, the players went to celebrate with the Fiel Torcida, who were present at Zezinho Magalhães Stadium and followed Timãozinho’s journey throughout the first stage.
