Corinthians have reached 100 injuries since January 2024 after confirmation that forward Vitinho will undergo left knee meniscus surgery, Fiel Imprensa reports.

Vitinho has not played since 30 April, having earlier been sidelined by hip pain and a hamstring tendon problem. He had been in physical transition since 15 July without a recall.

Two team-mates remain long-term absentees, left-back Hugo Farias, 172 days, in transition after a right lateral meniscus injury, and forward Kayke, 97 days, recovering from surgery on the left ACL.

The longest lay-off in the period belongs to Ruan Oliveira, who tore his ACL against Coritiba in December 2023, returned to group work in September 2024, then did not play again. Maycon also missed almost 300 days between April 2024 and February 2025 after a knee ligament rupture.

Among 2024 arrivals, left-back Diego Palacios spent 426 days out across two left meniscus operations and made only four appearances before moving to Universidad Católica in Ecuador. Yuri Alberto missed 13 matches in 2025 with a lumbar fracture and hernia surgery recovery, while Rodrigo Garro sat out 25 in the first half of last year with right knee patellar tendinopathy.

Memphis Depay missed two months with right thigh injuries from March to May 2026.

Matheus Bidu and Alex Santana did not travel for the draw with Bahia due to pubic pain and a right knee trauma respectively. Corinthians host Athletico Paranaense on Thursday 30 at 19:30 at Neo Química Arena in round 21.
