Corinthians have rejected a new approach from Fenerbahçe worth around €18 million for striker Yuri Alberto, judging the offer insufficient.

The offer was €15 million guaranteed plus a further three million euros in bonuses, a package the board view as well below an acceptable level.

Corinthians own 50 percent of his economic rights, five percent of which is assigned to agent André Cury, with Zenit holding the other half. From the R$ 112 million bid, Corinthians would receive around R$ 56 million and the agent about R$ 5.6 million.

Despite financial pressure, the club are prioritising the sporting side and want the No nine for the full season. Even so, the 2026 budget targets R$ 151 million from player sales.

Fenerbahçe’s striker search is pressing. Jhon Durán is injured and Youssef En-Nesyri is attracting interest. The window in Türkiye remains open until six February.

Yuri Alberto extended his deal in July 2025 to July 2030, and his international release clause is €100 million.

Roma listed him among options in early December and had already bid €28 million in August as the European window closed, but Corinthians kept him.

He played 58 games and scored 19 last season, finishing as top scorer and key in the Paulistão and Copa do Brasil wins. His overall tally is 76 in 207 for the club.

Dorival Júnior’s side face Flamengo at Mané Garrincha on Sunday one February at 16:00 in the 2026 Supercopa do Brasil.
