According to Globo.com, Corinthians will suspend activities at CT Joaquim Grava for 25 days during the World Cup break. After visiting Grêmio in Porto Alegre on 30 May, the squad will take leave and return on 25 June to begin a mid-season camp.
With head coach Fernando Diniz's approval, the club's football department is exploring the possibility of at least one friendly before domestic action resumes in July, with the game to be staged outside the state of São Paulo.
Before the pause, Corinthians still have three Campeonato Brasileiro fixtures, two in the Conmebol Libertadores and one in the Copa do Brasil.
The first assignment after the tournament will be against Remo in Itaquera in the Brasileiro, currently pencilled in for 22 July, though the CBF has yet to confirm the date.
At least two Corinthians players could be called up for the World Cup, Hugo Souza for Brazil and Memphis Depay for the Netherlands.
