The Corinthians Deliberative Council has implemented a Support Group for Fans, GAT, to assist travelling supporters from 2026, coordinated by council vice-president Leonardo Pantaleão. According to Meu Timao, the work begins with the Supercopa do Brasil against Flamengo on one February.
Although its activity starts now, the GAT was created in late September 2025. It followed problems for Corinthians fans at the 21 September match against Sport at Ilha do Retiro, where the away section was overcrowded and the board issued a note of repudiation afterwards.
The group did not operate during the final months of 2025 due to budget restrictions within the Council. A shift came early in 2026 when the Federal District Military Police contacted Council president Romeu Tuma Júnior to discuss logistics for receiving supporters at the Supercopa in Brasília.
The approach stemmed from Tuma’s profile in the capital through his work at the National Secretariat of Justice from 2007 to 2010. After the contact, he sought president Osmar Stabile to authorise the group’s implementation with Pantaleão in charge.
Pantaleão had already held several meetings last year with police authorities in different states to coordinate the reception of Corinthians fans at away grounds, work that was interrupted after his election to the Council. The first GAT meeting with the Federal District Military Police is scheduled for Monday 19 to plan the welcome in Brasília. The aim is that supporters are well received at Mané Garrincha and can watch the full Supercopa, and tickets sold out within hours on Thursday.
