Corinthians to host Santos v Coritiba at Neo Química Arena | OneFootball

The Brazilian Football Confederation confirmed that Santos v Coritiba, the 16th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, has been moved from Vila Belmiro to Corinthians' Neo Química Arena.

The fixture will kick off at 11:00 on 17 May. Corinthians are in Rio de Janeiro the same day to face Botafogo at Estádio Nilton Santos at 16:00. The hire fee for this match has not been disclosed.

The arrangement reflects a cordial relationship between the clubs' boards, which had already enabled a rental earlier this season. On 25 January, Santos hosted Red Bull Bragantino in the fifth round of the Campeonato Paulista at the Itaquera ground.

Three days later Corinthians played their Brasileirão opener against Bahia at Vila Belmiro after the clubs swapped venues. The change secured an extra day of rest for Corinthians before the Supercopa do Brasil, made possible by moving the date from 29 to 28. That rental brought in R$ 950,000.

The first time Santos hired the Neo Química Arena came in 2024, when they beat Bragantino 3-1 in a one-off Campeonato Paulista semi-final as the home side. Corinthians received about R$ 640,000 after costs.
