Corinthians Under-15 coach reaches impressive milestone in youth ranks

On the morning of last Saturday, September 6, Corinthians faced Ferroviária, away from home, for the third round of the group stage of the third phase of the Paulista Sub-17 Championship and won by a score of 3 x 2. The goals for Timãozinho were scored by Pedro Morelli, Miguel Moscardo, and Léo Saraiva. The result put Alvinegro in first place in group 29 with nine points - 14 goals scored and two conceded.

The duel was special for Edu Vergueiro, the Sub-15 coach, who completed 300 games for Corinthians in the youth categories. The coach arrived at Parque São Jorge initially as a scout and was one of the people responsible for the recruitment of midfielder Gabriel Moscardo, one of the club's main revelations in recent years, sold to PSG, from France, for 20 million euros (R$ 107 million at the time) in 2023.

His debut in Corinthians' technical commissions - between the Sub-11 and 20 categories - took place in 2017 and, since then, he has accumulated 211 victories, 50 draws, and 39 losses. The performance is 75.9%, with 807 goals scored and 215 conceded. On its social networks, Alvinegro celebrated the mark achieved by the professional. Click here to check it out.

Eduardo Vergueiro has been in the Corinthians Sub-15 category since 2024. In total, up to now, four titles have been won: Copa Zica and Atlântico (2024); Mina Cup, Paulista Cup, and Copa Votorantim (2025).
